Reading Order collects the minimum information needed to provide the service. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights over your data.

What we collect

• Your name and email address when you register.
• The book series you create, follow, and track as read.
• Comments you post on series pages.
• Basic technical data your device sends automatically (such as your IP address and browser type) needed to operate the service.

How we use it

• To provide the Reading Order service.
• To send account and verification emails.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Third-party sharing

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Book cover images and metadata are sourced from Open Library and are served directly from their servers; no personal data is sent to them.

Data security

We use standard technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your data and limit access to it.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal information and activity data are removed. Series you created are transferred to the Reading Order library so other users who follow them are not affected.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
• Delete your account and associated personal data.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@design.murraygunn.id.au. We will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account directly from your profile page.
